As an "Executive Editor" (a title he pioneered that has yet to catch on industry-wide), Karl elevates content through innovative editing techniques and visual storytelling approaches that distinguish shows in today's competitive landscape.
Karl edited the award-winning film "Fat Girls" by Ash Christian, which won NYC's Outfest emerging artist award. He directed and won the "Audience Award" at the Deep Ellum Film Festival with his short "Life By The Drop."
Prior to television, Karl worked as a Director/DP in advertising for over 15 years, winning numerous awards for commercial work. He holds a film degree from the University of North Texas and began his creative journey as a musician before transitioning to visual storytelling.
